Met a friend who work on the same discipline yet different region this morning. Thanks for showing understanding to the pain of having to go through the same set of theoretical theme over weeks. Yes, that could be fun at the first few weeks, but might be not after that...
Haven't said that we are getting so used to certain methodologies that has been applied for decades, sometimes we forgot their origins and process of coming to the shape we know for today.
But still, when a set of theory is so profoundly influential, it cannot avoid the fate of being criticized as over-generalization, and lack of the sensitivity towards the uniqueness of case studies. Ah, want some inspiring ethnography with more stories.
