Refinements are not fun. Especially when He leads us stepping out from our comfort zone, and we have a tendency to strive on our own. It sometimes feels like a person who can’t swim is trying his very best to strive not to be drown in the water. But refinements are necessary. For it is not until we be put in such circumstances can we understand the deeper side of ourselves, and ultimately to know and to experience His heart a bit more.
Was talking with a friend yesterday, about how God has been leading me to explore myself this semester in ways that I would never expect before. Throughout the progress, it sometimes hurts, and occasionally insecurity also became a visitor to my heart. I would not say I enjoy the recent struggles, to be honest; but I truly believe all these are so worthy (thanks Jesus and my mom). For it is in our weakness that we learn to stay faithful yet not strive by our means, but to walk in faith and on His full grace. For it is in refinements do we turn our eyes upon Jesus, and regard Him as our greatest joy and satisfaction of life. For it is in trials would our love be refined into more genuine one.
Felt so excited and encouraged after seeing this double rainbow yesterday evening! For in highs and lows, He is our keeper and never abandons us on the battleground even in times it feels this way. For His steadfast love and faithfulness is everlasting to uphold His covenant with us.
